On 16 November 2024, DC Healthcare Holdings Berhad continued its mission to support underserved communities through a heartfelt CSR initiative in Kampung Pertak, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor — home to the indigenous Orang Asli community.
Understanding the importance of accessible healthcare and daily necessities, the DC Healthcare team carried out a basic health screening program for 66 children, ensuring early detection and improved awareness of general wellness among the young members of the community. Simultaneously, the initiative provided rice donations to 78 Orang Asli families, helping to ease the financial burden faced by many in the area.
In addition to health and food support, the team also repaired and restored a DB Box at the community centre hall — a small but meaningful effort to improve the safety and infrastructure of a vital communal space.
To brighten the day for the children, goodie bags were distributed, and participants were treated to a nutritious breakfast, fostering a warm and joyful environment for everyone involved.
This initiative was a reflection of DC Healthcare’s core values — Detailed, Caring, and One Team. From the medical screening setup to the logistics of donation distribution, each aspect of the program was executed with attention to detail and a deep sense of empathy. The unified efforts of doctors, staff, and volunteers exemplified the spirit of community support and teamwork.
